Membership in the League of Women Voters, the most respected and effective grassroots organization in the country, is open to men and women of all ages.

Why Should I Join?
Join or renew membership and you will:

Join or Renew Online
On February 3, the process of joining or renewing your membership changed. Our national organization now provides membership processing for the entire country. If you are already a member, do not pay membership dues unless you received an email specifically asking you to do so.

Joining the League of Women Voters igives you membership at all levels of our nonpartisan organization: our local League supporting San Jose, Santa Clara, Milpitas, Morgan Hill, and Gilroy, SF Bay Area, California, and National.

To join the League, click the button below to access the LWV Member portal. After making your payment, please return to our site to fill out a Member Interest Survey to help us match your interests to our activities. You may also want to add a direct donation to us.

Dues are paid annually, renewable on your Join Date anniversary each year.

The recommended amount is $75 per person. You may choose what dues amount you wish to pay with a minimum of $20.

The amount you pay is split among the US (33%), California (47%) and our local League (20%) after processing fees are paid. Only the 20% portion to our local League is tax-deductible.

After choosing your dues amount, you may also add a separate donation to our League. That donation is fully tax-deductible.

You may use a credit card or ACH (bank electronic payment from the numbers at the bottom of your check). Processing fees are lower for ACH.

Optionally, you may choose automatic renewal.

There is no longer a Household or Student membership dues category.

Accessing the LWV Member Portal
To update your contact information or view your past payments, go to the LWV Member Portal. To log in to the portal:

Enter the email address associated with your membership.

You will be sent an email with a verification code to enter the code into the form. (You do not need a password.)
