Dr. Mary Ann Dewan is the Superintendent of the Santa Clara County Office of Education and gave us an overview of the equity issues affecting our youth and the key initiatives and priorities to improve education and wellness. She spoke to us on November 18, 2021 on "Giving Our Children Their Best Future".

Jason Su is the Executive Director of the Guadalupe River Park Conservancy, which provides community leadership for the development and active use of the Guadalupe River Park & Gardens. He spoke to us on October 21, 2021 on "Neighborhood Uplift

Rolando Bonilla is the chair of the Planning Commission for the City of San Jose beginning in June 2021. He describes why diversity is important on the commission and answers questions from the live audience. This event was broadcast live via Zoom on September 16, 2021.
Bruce Olszewski is the Director of the Center for the Development of Recycling at San Jose, SJ State University, He describes why recycling needs to be a closed loop in our natural world while recognizing the realities of our market-driven economy. On June 17, 2021, Russell Hancock, CEO and President of Joint Venture Silicon Valley presented a summary of the 2021 Silicon Valley Index describing the economic disparity in our area. Some people are doing well after our pandemic; others not so much.
On May 20, 2021, we talked with Josh Barousse and Ramona Giwargis, co-founders of the award-winning local news service San José Spotlight. It the city’s first nonprofit news organization dedicated to independent political and business reporting.
On April 15, 2021, we were pleased to host Mary Ann Tekverk, a political and community organizer for Save the Bay an organization working to protect, restore and celebrate San Francisco Bay since 1961. Learn about Urban Greening projects to help mitigate climate change.
On March 18, 2021, we were pleased to host Jeffrey Rosen, District Attorney of Santa Clara County. He joined that office as a prosecutor in 1995 and was elected District Attorney in January 2011. He is nationally recognized as a leader in criminal justice reform. He discussed changes being made within our law enforcement community and we asked him questions.
Michele Lew, CEO of The Health Trust, described the work of her nonprofit and discussed the impacts of the pandemic on vulnerable populations in Santa Clara County including seniors, low income neighborhoods and the homeless. Learn what is being done to help these individuals and other get through this public health crisis.
Rick Callender, CEO of Santa Clara Valley Water District and President of the California-Hawaii State Conference of the NAACP, spoke to the League of Women Voters of San Jose/Santa Clara on January 21, 2021 about "Environmental Justice Matters" then answered questions about water and NAACP issues.
